Salary: £19,372.50 to £23,322.60 for 22.5 hours per week (3-5 days, 42 weeks per year) (FTE equivalent: £39,975.00 to £48,126.00)
Contract: Permanent – Term Time Only

About the Role

In this role, you will support pupils with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, helping them develop essential communication skills to thrive. Your work will empower children to express themselves, build confidence, and engage with the world around them.
Each day begins with a collaborative team briefing, followed by a varied mix of:
- 1:1 therapy sessions
- Small group interventions
- In-class support alongside teachers
You’ll also have opportunities to:
- Support and mentor less experienced therapists
- Contribute to training and development of Team Members
- Support pupils on placement

What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Delivering trauma-informed therapy to a manageable caseload of pupils with SEMH needs, Learning Disabilities, and Autism
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teachers, and teaching assistants
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to holistic care plans
- Completing administrative tasks easily during quieter periods or from home during school holidays
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- HCPC Registration and RCSLT membership
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Full UK driving licence (occasional offsite meetings)
